The thing to understand before printing

A code baked with your own domain depends on that domain existing for as long as the code does. If the registration lapses or the record is removed, the printed code stops working and cannot be reissued — the artwork is already out there. Codes on our domain carry no such risk, which is why they remain the default.

What happens if the domain lapses?

Anything printed with it stops working and cannot be reissued — the artwork is already out in the world. This is the one real risk of a custom domain and it is why ours stays the default. If you are printing a hundred thousand packs, think hard about which domain goes on them.

Can I move an existing code onto my domain?

New codes will use it. A code already printed encodes the old address and cannot be changed — only its destination can.

Do I need a separate certificate?

No. It is issued and renewed automatically, and there is nothing for you to install.
