Lynkarr vs Uniqode
Both do codes and digital cards. The difference shows at the two ends: what you can try before paying, and what it costs to put your own name on the thing people scan.
A QR and digital business card platform aimed at larger organisations, with a static-only free tier.
The short version
“We will try the free plan first.”
Theirs makes static codes only — the kind you cannot edit and cannot track — so the thing you would actually deploy is behind the paywall. You are asked to decide before you can find out.
The factTheir pricing FAQ states the generator is free only for static codes, and dynamic codes start at $9 a month. Ours gives two dynamic codes, permanently, with reporting attached.
“We need our own domain on the codes.”
So does anybody putting a code on packaging or signage, where nobody can hover to check where a link goes. It should not be a procurement exercise.
The factTheir FAQ prices a custom domain as a Plus add-on at $2,000 per domain per year. Ours is part of Business at $54 a month, with unlimited domains on Enterprise.
“We need cards for the whole team.”
Then per-seat pricing on top of a plan is the thing to check for. Ours scales with the users you already have rather than adding a second meter.
The factTheir FAQ prices additional card seats at $6 per user per month on a Team plan. Ours includes a card per user on every paid plan at no per-card charge.
Side by side
| Uniqode | Lynkarr | |
|---|---|---|
| Webhooks | A list of event types, with no published signature scheme, retry policy or delivery log. | Signed with the Standard Webhooks scheme so any off-the-shelf library verifies them, a published retry ladder, and a delivery log with replay. |
| Dynamic codes on the free plan | None — their FAQ states the free generator is static-only. | Two dynamic codes, permanently, with scan reporting. |
| Entry price for dynamic codes | $9 a month. | Free for two; $19 a month for an unlimited number. |
| Mid tier | Core, $49 a month. | Business, $54 a month: 20 users, a custom domain, GS1 Digital Link, CSV import and conversion tracking. |
| Custom domain | Their FAQ: an add-on to Plus at $2,000 per domain per year, or an upgrade to Business+. | Included in Business at $54 a month; unlimited domains on Enterprise. |
| Digital cards | First card free; more seats on a Team plan at $6 per user per month. | One card free; a card per user on every paid plan, no per-card charge. |
| Contacts, from a scanned badge or business card | Not part of the product. | A badge or a personal business card is read by AI into a contact record, deduplicated against your existing pool, and tagged with the event it came from. |
| Google Analytics 4 | On Core, $49 a month. | On Starter, $19 a month — server-side, so it records scans an ad blocker would drop. |
Figures for Uniqode read from uniqode.com/pricing on 31 August 2026. Ours were checked against the running product on the same day. Prices change — if you find one of these out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
A free plan should let you try the actual product
A free tier that only makes static codes is a demonstration rather than a trial: the thing you would put on a pack — editable, measurable — is the thing you cannot try. You are asked to decide first and find out afterwards.
Ours gives two dynamic codes, permanently, with the reporting attached. Two is not many and it is not meant to be: it is enough to print something real, repoint it, and watch what happens before any money changes hands.
Your name on the link, at a price a team can approve
Serving codes from your own domain is what makes a scanned link look like it belongs to you — which matters most on packaging and signage, where the reader cannot hover over anything to check. Priced per domain per year, it becomes a budget line and a decision for somebody else.
It is part of the Business plan here, at $54 a month, with unlimited domains on Enterprise. The same feature, at a price that does not need a business case.
Why Lynkarr
Choose Lynkarr if you want to try the real thing before paying, put your own domain on it without a four-figure add-on, and give everybody a card without a per-seat meter — with the analytics, forms, pages and GS1 support in the same account.
One more thing, and it is a strength rather than a footnote: our analytics identify nobody. Country, region, hour, device and which code — no cookies on a scan, no IP address stored, nothing sold. For anybody in healthcare, legal, education or the public sector, that is the answer that gets a tool approved rather than the one that starts a review. The detail is here.
